Back in 2007, Fort Wayne Newspapers began converting its production technology from an antiquated Triple-I system to a more modern one by CCI.
Three of us at The News-Sentinel were selected to take the six-week training classes, and of the three, I was the one tapped to train the rest of the newsroom how to use the software. Part of that job included writing all of the documentation.
I set up the training schedule, the classes, and the technology to make it happen, all for a newsroom with a wide rage of technological experience and comfort levels.
Here are some sample of the CCI 101 guide and Cheat Sheets that I wrote and designed for the classes.
